Ling Lian

Ling LIAN received her BS (2006) and PhD (2012) in Animal Breeding and Genetics from China Agricultural University. During her PhD study, she honored the Joint Training Ph.D. Student Award supported by China Scholarship Council to study for one year in Department of Animal Science, Iowa State University, United States in 2010. She joined the faculty in the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics, China Agricultural University in 2014. She is currently an associate professor (2016-). Her main research programs focus on poultry genetics and breeding including investigation and utilization of chicken special traits, selection methods applied in chicken breeding, and genetic resistance mechanisms to pathogen. Lian has published more than 40 full-length papers. She is member of World Poultry Science Association-China Branch. Lian was the program director of Youth Fund of the National Natural Science Fund project and Natural Science Fund of Beijing. She was elected in the youth talent promotion project (2015). She currently participates in the programs including National Natural Science of China (NSFC), NSFC-ASRT Fund, The National Key Research and Development Program of China, National Germplasm Center of Domestic Animal, and Agriculture Research Systems of China. She has reviewed scientific papers from more than 10 highly respected international journals and she acts as invited reviewer for Journal of agricultural biotechnology.
