Dr. Jiangxia Zheng has been a faculty member in the College of Animal Science and Technology at China Agricultural University for more than 10 years, and is currently an Associate Professor. She received her Ph.D. on studies of poultry genetics from the China Agricultural University in 2007. She currently leads a research program with egg quality and safety. Dr. Zheng has a strong interest in conducting research of value to the full range of poultry production including the sophisticated poultry breeding industry, large-scale, efficient production operations and small, low-input poultry keeping. She has published over 20 peer-reviewed journal papers. Dr. Zheng is actively engaged in undergraduate education, teaching two undergraduate courses: Poultry Science and Quality Testing of Farm Animal Products. She mentors PhD students, Master students and URP students in her group. As a member of World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA) and China branch secretary, successful organization of the XXV World’s Poultry Congress in 2016 (WPC2016) is the one of the most remarkable achievements.
