Jianmin Zou, born in 1963, researcher, is the president of PI-CAAS. He is mainly engaged in the research on evaluation, protection and utilization of poultry genetic resources. He is the expert of the national broiler industry technical system and the chief expert of the broiler industry technical system of Jiangsu Province. He has presided over 25 national, ministerial and provincial scientific research projects such as National Sci-Tech Support Program, NSFC. Moreover, he has won 10 provincial and ministerial awards, cultivated 3 new chicken breeds approved by the Chinese state, and published 138 papers and 4 books. He is also currently serving as the editor-in-chief of "China Poultry" magazine, the chairman of the Poultry Branch of CAAV. In addition, he is a member of the National Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resources Committee and the deputy director of the Poultry Professional Committee.
